Cootes Paradise Paddle

Saturday, June 22, 2019 • Register Today!

$40 per person / $15 per person 15 years and younger (second paddler)

Start under the lush canopy, and on the flowing waters of Spencer Creek, eastward through the wetland marsh of Cootes Paradise (with the wind at your back) and along the wooded shoreline of the RBG, with an easy lift over near the RBG fishway, the paddle continues under the historic high level bridge and then follows Hamilton’s Waterfront Trail to our destination at Bayfront Park. We can give some brief words of paddling wisdom, a map, and arrange a canoe buddy. Then you make your way (paddling) back to your car at Bayfront Park and leave the canoe there. Rain or shine.

Please have one person in the canoe with some paddling experience. The single sign-ups can email the contact below to arrange a canoe partner. We’ll match up singles with a paddling partner/less experienced with more experienced, and use the canoe buddy system.

Shuttle service from Bayfront Park at 9 a.m. Canoe rental (including PFD and paddles) provided at starting point. Shuttle service available ($10 per ride). Bring your own canoe/kayak (you drop it off in Dundas, and we’ll watch it for you).
