40-Mile Creek Evening Hike with Bruce MacKenzie & Peter Thoem

Join HNC guest experts Bruce MacKenzie and Peter Thoem for an evening hike to 40-Mile Creek canyon in Grimsby for spring flowers, ferns and trees as well as migrant birds. This steep, sloping canyon has distinct  microclimates due to its sheltered position and orientation: the south-facing side being warmer and the north-facing side cooler resulting in different plant communities.

The trail is steep in places, rough and uneven. Good sturdy foot-wear is essential.

Please note the hike leaves at 6:01pm sharp.
