Bruce Trail Conservancy -‘Wetlands in Focus – Saltfleet Conservation Area’

May 6 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

The Bruce Trail Conservancy welcomes all to a walk led by Scott Peck, Director, Watershed Management Services, Hamilton Conservation Authority.

The location is Saltfleet Conservation Area ( https://conservationhamilton.ca/conservation-areas/saltfleet-conservation-area/ ).

For more information and to register, go to:
https://hikes.brucetrail.org/event/wetlands-in-focus-saltfleet-conservation-area/2023-05-06/

Scott will lead us on a gentle walk on a level trail that overlooks wetlands.  He will make several stops along the trail and to explain the history and progression of the Saltfleet CA project.  This has become a hotspot for birders but birds are not the theme of this walk.

Your questions about wetlands and conservation authorities’ role in water management are welcome.

Note that ticks are now active.  To learn more about ticks go to https://conservationhamilton.ca/ticks-and-lyme-disease/

Paid parking $8.00 per day but free with HCA membership pass.
