Monthly Meeting: Grimsby Wetlands

Grimsby Wetlands sit on the south shore of Lake Ontario and is a project that involves many stakeholders.

Bruce and Laurie Mackenzie are the coordinators of the Grimsby Wetlands, a project of the HNC. Bruce has been deeply involved with this project since 2001.

The Grimsby Wetlands project has won 10 environmental awards at all levels and in 2023 was awarded a Brownie Award from the Canadian Brownfield Network, a national award. From a former sewage lagoon treatment plant to a leading environmental success makes for an interesting story.

Bruce will be taking us through the journey of the vision of the Grimsby Wetlands and to the status of the project today and look into the future.

Doors open at 7:00 PM, presentation begins at 7:30 PM
