Hamilton’s Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) is a city-wide, multi-stakeholder strategy that will protect Hamilton’s future generations by enhancing and protecting the natural environment around us. It will guide the protection and restoration of biodiversity through a set of proposed actions. Jen Baker (Land Trust Manager) will describe the draft BAP and HNC’s proposed commitments.
The main role of HNC staff is to protect and enhance biodiversity at the nature sanctuaries, as well as to enhance urban biodiversity through the Pollinator Paradise Program. Jen and Brittany Killingbeck (Stewardship Technician) will describe these stewardship activities, including ways to get involved.
