Sunday, May 7 morning hike in Dundas Valley for spring ephemeral woodland flowers, ferns, trees and plenty of resident and recent-arrival migrant birds. Great views into the deep valley of Sulphur Creek. We will walk the gravel-surface of Artaban Road and the hard-packed Monarch Trail to Merrick Orchard and back (at least 4.5 km). Some steep up/down hills, but mostly even and safe footing. Good walking or hiking boots will be important. Leaders will be Peter Thoem (peterthoem@gmail.com or cell 905 483 5465) and Lyn Folkes.
This outing is capped at 18 attendees. Registration is required through this link: Morning Hike in Dundas Valley Tickets
Meeting directions will be provided upon registration.
