Volunteer Orientation

Interested in protecting and restoring nature in Hamilton? Come learn about volunteer opportunities at the Hamilton Naturalists’ Club! New and experienced volunteers are welcome to attend.

There will be a brief presentation about the HNC and our volunteer opportunities at 7:30 PM, then participants are encouraged to visit the information tables and chat with current volunteers about their experiences. No previous experience is required, training is provided for all activities.

Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:

• Nature Sanctuary Stewardship – remove invasive plants, plant trees, pick up garbage, monitor the trail systems, etc.
• Urban Stewardship – help care for pollinator gardens across the city.
• Falconwatch – help monitor Peregrine Falcon chicks as they learn to fly in downtown Hamilton.
• Outreach & Communication
